KADAPA: NSUI city president P. Pavan Kumar on Saturday demanded cancellation of permission for engineering, pharmacy, MBA and MCA under the purview of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University which lacked the requisite facilities, experience faulty members, laboratories, ground etc.
Addressing engineering students of Madina Engineering College in the NSUI office here, he said the JNTU officials should furnish a copy of the answer booklet of an engineering student applying for revaluation and initiate action against the original evaluer if he had erred during correction of the paper. The practice was being successfully implemented in Tamil Nadu, he added.
Some spot-valuers were correcting more answer sheets in a hurry due to greed for earning more money and such a trend led to a paltry pass percentage of 10 per cent in JNTU, Anantapur, in 2008, Mr. Pavan Kumar said.
