HYDERABAD : Eamcet ranks will be announced on July 1 at 4 pm. The deputy chief minister, Mr Damodara Raja Narasimha, who also holds the portfolio of higher and technical education, will release the ranks at the AP State Council of Higher Education. The Eamcet marks were announced on June 8. The ranks will be determined after taking 25 per cent weightage for Intermediate marks.
The first phase of Eamcet counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions will be conducted between July 17 and July 24. The second phase of counselling will be held between August 7 and August 11. The NTR University of Health Sciences will issue the notification for the purpose between July 7 and July 10.
Online counselling will be held at JNTU-Hyderabad, Sri Venkateshwara University-Tirupati, Andhra University-Visakhapatnam and NTRUHS-Vijayawada.
An additional 500 MBBS seats are expected to get MCI's approval for this year in government colleges. The new seats are expected to be approved in the Srikakulam and Ongole campuses of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Osmania Medical College, Gandhi Medical College and AU Medical College.
